Crusader Camp Out

Friday night was the Crusader's Camp Out! The first thing I did when I got there was catch tiny frogs. Then we all sat on a trailer and Bro. Joe gave us a ride. We stopped at a blueberry bush and apple tree. We rode into a golf course after that...Ryan Hoffert lost his shoe there. :) We stopped by the horses and fed them our extra apples that we picked. When we got back to camp, we went on a hike to the Indian River and had so much fun playing there! Bro Joe found a flower that smelt like mint. After returning to camp, we ate hot dogs, hamburgers, and chips. When we were done eating, we ran and played games in the barn. Then we played games using water balloons, bouncy balls, eggs on spoons, and much more! When it was dark, we went back to camp and roasted marsh mellows over the fire. Then we played the game Marco Polo. Before heading to bed, we sang songs around the campfire, and Bro. Joe told us two ghost stories.

  1. Whow, the first thing I thought,Allyson, when I read about all of the things you did in one day was---I would NEVER have the energy to do half of those things! I was almost pooped reading about it. You certainly had a lot of fun. How many people went to the crusader's camp? Who cooked the breakfast the next day? I wonder if you could eat the flower that smelled like a mint? I'm so glad that you get to do fun things with so many nice girls and boys. I love you, Allyson.

  2. There were 12 kids at the campout...7 boys, 5 girls.
We did not cook breakfast, Mrs. Charity brought cereal and these peanut bars.
Bro. Joe said do not eat the mint flower.
    I love you too, Grandmother!

  3. Allyson, this campout looks like it was a blast!! How many marshmallows did you eat? Did Ryan ever find his shoe? Did you go swimming in the Indian River? Your Crusaders Club sure does a lot of fun things. I know you're so happy to be able to be a part of it! :-) I LOVE YOU!!
